Release Blitz & Review - Dared by Kristina Borden

Title: Dared (The Boneyard Bad Boy Series )
Author: Kristina Borden
Model: Robert Simmons
Photographer : Cassandra Roop (PINK INK DESIGNS  )

Damien:

I am Damien Cole. Manager of Dallas' Top Tattoo Shop "The Boneyard."
I play the game by my own set of rules. I discard women left and right.
Their only purpose is to cater to my sexual appetite. No woman will ever
tame my bad boy ways. I am at the top of my game.

Summer:

I am Summer Montgomery. My face has graced magazine covers all across the world. My looks will deceive you. I am a bad girl with a smart ass mouth and the attitude to back it up. Playing with me is like playing with fire. I will consume
you and swallow you whole.

When faced with temptation, which of these two badasses will fall first?

This book was a great read. You have 2 strong willed feisty characters.

Damien a tattoo artist, womanizing, single man. Thinks he is gods gift to women. He is the one time only kinda guy, he never goes back for seconds.
Summer a New York Runway model, has the looks but is unlucky in love. She is strong and has no problem speaking her mind.
These two used to be best friend growing up one could not be found with out the other close by. During their senior year in high school things change causing Summer to leave and not look back.

Fast forward * years later Summer has decided to return home but the last person she expects to see is Damien.

I loved the chemistry of these two. Summer and Damien's game of one-upping each other is comical yet entertaining to read. Summer gives Damien a run for his money. He realizes that he has met his match with her. Summer is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Damian. She actually out thinks and out wins Damien on several occasions.  This is not your stereotypical best friend romance but it is fun to read these two go at it verbally and in the bed room.

There were times while reading this book where I felt the story was missing and I had to assume things did or did not happen. How an author writes a book is how it is interpreted. It should not be a game of assumptions. If the author does not write it how do we as readers actually know if the event happened? The story is good. There were some times where the dialoged fell flat and I felt there was more telling instead of showing.
